Shower of my DREAMS

So... there is a lot I want to do in the house. The basement I'll probably be overhauling entirely to change the second family room into an awesome master suite with an incredible master bathroom.

I'm a big fan of glass mosaic tiles. So I spend a lot of time on www.modwalls.com. Whilst perusing their glorious gallery I stumbled on the shower of my dreams...

I'm very mod in style and this just looks so incredible to me! Hopefully I'll be able to incorporate something like this in the master eventually.

Just out of curiosity... Does any one else find this as fabulous as I do? Or do I have weird taste?

To hopes and dreams and hard work,

A Much Needed Udate

So this year I have super failed on this blog. I'm not sure what happened to the month of March, but it FLEW by. Tomorrow is April 1st (anyone with some exciting pranks to play?) and I cannot believe that this year is already 1/4 over. The craziest thing is that I've been so busy, but nothing super eventful has happened.

In my last blog, which was more than a month ago, my offer had been accepted on a house in Sunset. I had no idea all the "stuff" that goes into this! My offer was accepted, so I had to get the paper work to HUD within the next 48 hours. .... However, I could not reserve my loan rate until they had signed the contract that I sent them. It took them two weeks! Then I had to get the house inspected and then tested for meth. Yes, I said meth. Since the house had been vacant for six months, I definitely needed the test done for my peace of mind. For those that don't know, meth in a house usually means it has to be bulldozed.

All the inspections are done and I've faxed in all the forms to my loan officer. Hopefully I will be able to close next week! Here is a photo of the house:

While I'm not crazy about the color of the brick, the house really has so much potential. Sweat equity will definitely be required, but expect posts along the way! I've already bought a new oven, tile for the bathroom and kitchen, and a few things for the yard.

To being brave enough to take big steps,

Boomba
